About Me
My experience
I began my counselling journey over 25 years ago, volunteering with an alcohol support project in London. In 1996, I qualified with a Diploma in Counselling from the University of the West of England, and later became an Accredited Counsellor with the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy).
Since completing my EMDR training in 2008, I have been deeply committed to developing my practice in this powerful and effective therapeutic approach. I am now a fully trained and EMDR Europe Accredited Practitioner, with further training in Attachment-Informed and IFS-Informed EMDR.
My counselling career has developed alongside work in the charity sector, particularly in advice and homelessness services. I also have extensive experience working in Occupational Health settings, supporting employees with a wide range of emotional and psychological issues.
For over four years, I worked within a Sexual Assault Referral Centre, gaining specialist experience in trauma-informed care. I continue to work with several Employee Assistance Programmes (EAPs), offering short-term focused therapy for clients from diverse backgrounds.
In 2005, I completed my supervision training at Bristol University, and now offer clinical supervision to both private practitioners and counsellors working in agencies.
